Ford F-150 Tremor at Russell Barnett Ford in Winchester, TN

Exploring the Tremor Lineup and BlueCruise Technology in Winchester, TN

Your next adventure might begin where the pavement ends, but your vehicle still needs to handle everything that comes before it. The Ford Tremor lineup brings off-road capability to trucks and SUVs that can also serve as daily transportation, family vehicles and hardworking pickups. At Russell Barnett Ford of Winchester, we help drivers explore which Tremor model fits their plans, their passengers and their everyday routine. For shoppers researching Ford Tremor in Winchester, TN, the choices extend well beyond one truck. Maverick, F-150, select Super Duty pickups, Explorer and Expedition offer different approaches to the Tremor experience. Depending on the vehicle, Tremor is a dedicated model or an available off-road package. Some eligible Ford vehicles also offer BlueCruise hands-free highway driver assistance. That creates an interesting combination for Middle Tennessee drivers: equipment designed for travel beyond paved roads, along with available technology that can assist during the highway portion of the journey. Here is how to make sense of the lineup before choosing your next Ford. What Is Ford Tremor? Tremor identifies Ford vehicles equipped with a stronger focus on off-road driving. The specific upgrades depend on the model and year, but can include all-terrain tires, suspension changes, additional ground clearance, underbody protection, specialized traction equipment and trail-oriented driving features. The shared name does not mean every Tremor has the same hardware. A compact Maverick and a heavy-duty Super Duty serve different needs, so their equipment and capabilities differ. Likewise, an Explorer Tremor provides a different passenger and cargo arrangement than an F-150 Tremor. Think of Tremor as a starting point for choosing the kind of adventure-ready Ford you want. First decide whether you need a pickup bed, three-row seating or heavy-duty capability. Then compare the equipment offered on the Tremor version of that vehicle. For drivers from Tullahoma and across Middle Tennessee, that approach keeps the purchase connected to real needs. The right vehicle should suit your ordinary week as well as the trip you are looking forward to taking. Ford Tremor Trucks and SUVs at a Glance Ford’s Tremor choices cover several vehicle sizes and uses. This overview can help you decide where to begin your comparison. Vehicle Tremor format A useful starting point for shoppers who want Maverick Tremor model A compact pickup with trail-oriented equipment F-150 Tremor model A full-size pickup for work, recreation and everyday driving Super Duty F-250 and F-350 Available Tremor Off-Road Package on eligible configurations Heavy-duty truck capability with off-road upgrades Explorer Tremor model A three-row SUV with an off-road focus Expedition Tremor model A full-size, three-row SUV for passengers, gear and adventure Equipment availability changes by model year, engine, trim and configuration. Ask our team to review the exact vehicle you are considering, especially when comparing current inventory with an upcoming model. Maverick Tremor: A Compact Truck with an Adventurous Side The Maverick Tremor gives shoppers a smaller pickup option within the Ford Tremor family. For 2026, its equipment includes a 2.0-liter EcoBoost engine, advanced four-wheel drive, an electronic-locking rear drive unit and off-road-tuned suspension. Increased ground clearance and all-terrain tires support its trail-oriented character. Its compact size makes it worth considering if you want an open bed without moving into a full-size truck. Think about the supplies you carry, the places you park and how frequently you drive with passengers. A smaller pickup may suit someone who needs room for outdoor equipment, home projects and everyday errands. The important detail is to compare Maverick Tremor specifications with Maverick Tremor specifications. Ford lists a maximum available towing capacity of 2,000 pounds for the 2026 Tremor when properly equipped. The towing figure advertised for a different Maverick configuration should not be assumed to apply. If your plans include a trailer, tell us about its loaded weight before choosing a truck. That helps determine whether the compact Tremor fits your requirements or whether another Ford deserves a closer look. F-150 Tremor: Full-Size Truck Utility Meets Trail Equipment The F-150 Tremor combines the usefulness of a full-size pickup with equipment developed for off-road driving. Ford’s 2026 model information highlights 33-inch all-terrain tires on 18-inch wheels, off-road-tuned suspension, an electronic-locking rear differential and selectable driving modes that include Rock Crawl. Those features make it a model to explore if your truck regularly moves between pavement, property access roads and recreational terrain. The pickup bed also gives you a separate space for equipment that you may not want inside the passenger cabin. Start your comparison with how you use a truck today. Do you carry tools throughout the week? Does your vehicle double as family transportation? Are you planning camping trips or towing a trailer? Those answers help narrow the equipment and configuration discussion. Engine choices, interior appointments and optional packages also deserve attention. Two F-150 Tremor trucks can have different features even though they share a model name. Review the window sticker and have our team explain which equipment is included on the truck you are considering. For Winchester shoppers, the goal is a pickup that handles the full range of your routine, from the workday to the weekend. Super Duty Tremor: An Off-Road Package for Heavy-Duty Needs If your requirements lead you toward an F-250 or F-350, the available Tremor Off-Road Package adds another direction to explore. This is an equipment package for eligible Super Duty configurations, rather than a single standalone model covering every heavy-duty Ford truck. Ford has also announced expanded Tremor availability for the 2027 Super Duty, including eligible XL trucks with the STX Appearance Package and Crew Cab configurations with an 8-foot bed. These are model-year-specific changes, so shoppers comparing 2026 and 2027 trucks should confirm which combinations are available. Begin with the work you need the truck to perform. Your trailer, equipment, passenger load and bed requirements should guide the choice before appearance or convenience options enter the conversation. Off-road equipment does not make every configuration suitable for the same towing or hauling job. Super Duty shoppers should also consider the practical fit at home and at work. Measure your garage, think about regular parking locations and describe any narrow access points you use. A truck should fit the spaces where it will spend most of its time. Our Winchester team can help you review the relevant configuration and discuss current availability. Explorer Tremor: A Three-Row SUV for Everyday Life and Outdoor Plans The Explorer Tremor brings the Tremor approach to a three-row SUV. For 2026, Ford highlights off-road-tuned suspension with increased ride height, all-terrain tires, underbody protection and a Torsen limited-slip rear axle. That gives shoppers another option when passenger seating and enclosed cargo space lead the list. If your vehicle carries family members during the week and outdoor gear on weekends, the Explorer is worth including in the comparison. Walk through the cabin with your actual needs in mind. Check access to the rear seats, the space available with those seats occupied and where bags or equipment will go. A vehicle that looks roomy with the seats folded may serve a different purpose when everyone is riding along. The Explorer Tremor also offers available BlueCruise, but buyers should review the specific configuration carefully. Ford notes that, on 2026 Tremor models with the 2.3-liter engine, BlueCruise hardware is included only when the applicable subscription is ordered at purchase. Do not assume every Explorer Tremor has the necessary equipment. If BlueCruise is a priority, make it part of your shopping discussion from the beginning. Expedition Tremor: Full-Size SUV Space with Off-Road Capability The Expedition Tremor offers another way to combine passenger transportation with outdoor plans. Ford’s 2026 model includes Intelligent 4WD, a 3.73 electronic-locking rear differential, 33-inch all-terrain tires and suspension developed for its off-road role. Inside, its three-row layout makes it a model to explore when your shopping list includes passengers and gear. The 2026 Expedition Tremor offers standard seven-passenger seating, with an available eight-passenger arrangement. Confirm the seating configuration of the individual vehicle rather than choosing from the model name alone. Bring the people who will regularly ride with you into the decision. Consider second-row access, third-row comfort and cargo space with the seats in use. If you carry bulky equipment, think about its dimensions and where it will ride. Expedition Tremor also appears in Ford’s BlueCruise-equipped offerings. Review the included trial or plan and the features supported by the specific vehicle. For Middle Tennessee households considering a larger SUV, the best comparison includes both the exciting weekend plans and the ordinary tasks the vehicle must handle every day. What Tremor Equipment Means on the Trail Understanding the purpose of the equipment makes it easier to decide what matters to you. All-terrain tires, suspension changes and traction features address different parts of driving beyond pavement. The benefit of each depends on the terrain and the way you use the vehicle. Additional clearance can be useful around uneven surfaces, but vehicle dimensions still matter. A larger truck and a smaller SUV can approach the same route differently. Consider width, length, visibility and room to maneuver alongside the equipment list. Ask for an explanation of the trail features fitted to your chosen model. Learn how to select the appropriate driving mode and when particular traction settings should be used. Features that share similar names across vehicles may operate differently. Preparation matters, too. Know the route, understand its difficulty and follow the owner’s manual. Use permitted access areas and choose terrain appropriate for the vehicle and your experience. For many Winchester drivers, the first step is simply describing the places they expect to go. That makes it easier to compare useful equipment with their actual plans. Ford Tremor and BlueCruise Serve Different Parts of the Journey Tremor and BlueCruise address different driving situations. Tremor equipment focuses on off-road capability. BlueCruise is highway driver-assistance technology for eligible vehicles on designated roads. That distinction matters when planning a trip across Middle Tennessee. You might drive on a qualifying divided highway before turning onto local roads and eventually reaching an unpaved destination. BlueCruise availability during one part of the trip does not mean it can be used throughout the journey. The Tremor badge also does not establish BlueCruise eligibility. Ford offers the technology on eligible F-150, Explorer and Expedition configurations, while Maverick and Super Duty shoppers should not assume it is part of their Tremor equipment. When comparing vehicles, ask two separate questions: which off-road features does this Ford have, and does this particular vehicle support BlueCruise? Reviewing both helps you understand what you are buying. How Ford BlueCruise Works BlueCruise can assist with steering, acceleration and braking during hands-free operation on designated sections of divided highway called Blue Zones. A driver-facing camera monitors attention. The driver must keep eyes on the road, remain alert and be ready to take control. Road conditions, visibility, lane markings and other circumstances can affect operation or cause hands-free assistance to end. Availability also depends on the vehicle’s hardware, software and active service entitlement. Ask our team to demonstrate the system’s displays and explain the included trial or plan before purchase. For Tullahoma shoppers who make regular highway trips, the useful question is how BlueCruise fits those routes. Review Ford’s coverage information for the roads you travel, rather than assuming every highway or every mile of a journey qualifies. Learning the system before using it makes the ownership experience clearer. BlueCruise Features, Plans and Model-Year Differences BlueCruise features vary by vehicle and software version. Lane Change Assist, In-Lane Repositioning and Automatic Lane Change should not be assumed to appear on every equipped Ford. When shopping, ask which capabilities the specific vehicle supports and which plan is included. Understand what happens after any trial or prepaid period ends, along with the purchase options available for that vehicle. Keep BlueCruise separate from other connected-service packages in your comparison. Towing requires particular attention. Ford has announced BlueCruise with Towing for BlueCruise-equipped 2027 F-150 vehicles. That announcement should not be applied automatically to earlier F-150s or to every other Ford with BlueCruise. Follow the selected vehicle’s owner’s manual and confirm the applicable towing limitations. A newer feature announcement does not establish that an older truck has received the same capability. Choosing the Right Ford Tremor for Middle Tennessee Start with your essential vehicle requirements. Decide how many people you carry, whether you need an open bed or enclosed cargo space, and what towing or hauling tasks the vehicle must perform. Next, describe the driving that makes Tremor interesting to you. Occasional travel on an unpaved access road and frequent off-road recreation can lead to different priorities. Be specific about the terrain, equipment and trips you expect. Then consider the ordinary miles. Your commute, errands, parking space and passenger needs will shape ownership just as much as the adventure plans. Include fuel, maintenance, tires and any connected-service plans when thinking about your budget. A useful test drive should help you assess visibility, comfort and maneuverability. Spend time with the controls and storage areas, too. The best choice is the vehicle whose features fit the way you live. Ford Tremor Frequently Asked Questions Is Tremor a trim or a package? It depends on the vehicle. Ford offers Tremor models within the Maverick, F-150, Explorer and Expedition lineups. Eligible Super Duty pickups offer a Tremor Off-Road Package. Availability and equipment vary by model year. Does every Ford Tremor have BlueCruise? No. BlueCruise eligibility depends on the vehicle, configuration, hardware and service status. Ask our team to confirm it on the exact Ford you are considering. Should I choose a Tremor from its towing number? Towing is one part of the decision. Compare the selected vehicle’s ratings with your loaded trailer, passengers, cargo and equipment. Also consider seating, storage, parking and the terrain you expect to encounter. Can I compare Tremor models before visiting from Tullahoma? Yes. Contact our Winchester dealership with your preferred vehicle type, important features and purchase timing. We can discuss current availability and help you prepare for a focused visit. Can I add accessories after buying a Tremor? Discuss planned accessories before purchase. Ask about fit, installation and their effect on the vehicle’s equipment. In particular, suspension modifications can affect BlueCruise compatibility, so review Ford’s guidance before making changes. Plan for Ownership with Russell Barnett Ford of Winchester Your shopping decision should include the support you will want after delivery. Review maintenance expectations, ask how to operate unfamiliar features and keep the documentation supplied with your vehicle. Our Limited Lifetime Powertrain Warranty page provides information about the dealership’s program. Ask our team to confirm eligibility, covered components, exclusions and maintenance requirements for the Ford you select. Coverage follows the written terms of the program. You can also discuss future service needs and any equipment you plan to add. Starting those conversations early helps you understand the vehicle as a complete ownership decision. Preserve your vehicle's performance with these proven tips from Russell Barnett Ford of Winchester

Preserve Your Vehicle Performance With These Proven Tips

When you invest in a Ford, you expect dependability, durability, and performance. But even the toughest trucks and most efficient SUVs need consistent care to stay at their best. That’s where long-term maintenance and smart driving habits come in. Whether you’re cruising down Highway 64 or navigating the hills near Tims Ford Lake, your Ford should be up for the journey. At Russell Barnett Ford of Winchester, we’ve helped thousands of Tennessee drivers protect their investment — and we’re here to help you do the same with these tried and true vehicle performance tips. This detailed guide is packed with expert insights, practical maintenance tips, and driving strategies to help you keep your vehicle running smoothly for years to come. 1. Follow the Maintenance Schedule The most effective way to extend the life of your vehicle is by adhering to your Ford’s official maintenance plan. This routine typically includes: Oil and filter changes Brake system inspections Fluid top-offs and flushes Tire rotation and balancing Battery checks and replacements Every Ford model comes with a recommended maintenance timeline in the owner’s manual. Following these guidelines not only preserves vehicle health — it also protects your warranty and prevents surprise repairs. Tip: At Russell Barnett Ford of Winchester, our certified service techs track your maintenance history and send friendly reminders to help you stay on schedule. 2. Change the Engine Oil on Time Clean oil is essential to engine performance. Over time, oil breaks down and collects contaminants that cause internal wear and tear. This is the most important out of all vehicle performance tips, and, unfortunately, one of the most commonly overlooked. Best Practices: Use Ford-approved synthetic oil whenever possible. Change your oil every 3,000 to 7,500 miles, or as recommended by the manufacturer and depending on your driving habits. Check your oil level monthly — especially before long trips. Neglecting oil changes can result in engine sludge, overheating, or even full failure. Quick oil services at our Winchester service department make it easy to stay on top of this critical maintenance. 3. Tire Care = Safety + Longevity Proper tire care improves safety, fuel economy, and ride quality. It also extends the lifespan of your tires — which can be a major cost savings. Tire Tips: Rotate tires every 6,000–8,000 miles. Maintain correct tire pressure (check monthly). Schedule a wheel alignment once a year or after hitting potholes. Bonus: Our team can perform tire rotations during routine services — saving you time and money while extending tire life. 4. Don’t Skip Fluid Checks Your Ford relies on multiple fluids beyond engine oil to operate safely and efficiently: Coolant: Prevents engine overheating Brake fluid: Ensures responsive braking Transmission fluid: Protects gear changes Power steering fluid: Aids steering control Windshield washer fluid: Keeps visibility clear Dirty or low fluids lead to accelerated wear and costly repairs. Schedule a multi-point inspection at our Ford of Winchester service bay — we’ll check and top off all fluids for you. 5. Replace Filters Regularly Air filters protect both your engine and your passengers from contaminants: Engine air filter: Replace every 15,000–30,000 miles. Cabin air filter: Replace every 12,000–15,000 miles. Environmental factors can reduce these recommended mileages! A dirty engine filter reduces efficiency, while a clogged cabin filter impacts air quality inside the vehicle — especially during Tennessee’s pollen-heavy seasons. 6. Maintain Your Brakes Brake components wear down over time, especially with stop-and-go driving or mountain descents. Signs You Need Brake Service: Squeaking or grinding noises Vibration when braking Longer stopping distance Brake pedal feels “soft” or spongy We recommend brake inspections every 10,000–15,000 miles, and we offer Motorcraft® brake components with expert installation. 7. Don’t Delay on Dashboard Alerts Your dashboard warning lights serve a critical role in protecting your vehicle. They are a way for your vehicle to give you its own performance tips. If one illuminates, don’t ignore it — address it immediately. Common lights include: Check engine Low tire pressure Brake warning Battery alert Bring your vehicle to our Winchester service center — our diagnostic tools can quickly pinpoint the issue and recommend next steps. 8. Protect Your Transmission Transmission repairs are among the most expensive — and most preventable — automotive issues. To prolong the life of your transmission: Avoid towing loads heavier than your Ford’s rating Shift gears smoothly and don’t “ride” in neutral Have your transmission fluid flushed as recommended Ask about extended service contracts for added peace of mind. 9. Keep the Battery in Good Shape Extreme weather, short trips, and electrical drain can all shorten battery life. Fortunately, battery health is easy to manage. Vehicle performance tips for a long-lasting battery: Test your battery at least once a year Clean corrosion from terminals Replace your battery every 3 years, or immediately after poor test results. At Russell Barnett Ford of Winchester, we offer free battery testing and carry high-quality Motorcraft® batteries in stock. 10. Don’t Forget to Wash and Wax Rust and paint damage are often caused by neglecting your car’s exterior. Regular washing removes harmful road debris, while waxing protects against UV damage and oxidation. We recommend: Washing your vehicle every 2–3 weeks Waxing 3–4 times a year Cleaning the undercarriage after winter or muddy off-road adventures A clean vehicle not only looks better — it lasts longer, too. 11. Adjust Driving Habits Your driving style directly impacts wear and tear on your vehicle’s components. Practice smooth, steady driving to reduce strain on your engine, transmission, and brakes. Smart driving habits: Avoid aggressive acceleration and sudden braking Don’t speed through curves or over potholes Limit unnecessary idling, especially in cold weather Smooth driving = longer lifespan for your vehicle’s most expensive systems. 12. Avoid Overloading Every Ford comes with a maximum payload and towing capacity. Exceeding these limits can stress the frame, suspension, and powertrain. Before loading up for your next road trip or outdoor adventure: Check your Ford’s load limits in the owner’s manual Distribute weight evenly Use Ford-approved towing accessories Our team can help you prep your vehicle for safe, legal, and efficient towing. 13. Use Certified Technicians and OEM Parts When it’s time for service or repairs, choosing a Ford-certified technician ensures your vehicle is cared for by experts who know it best. We only use genuine Ford OEM parts — the same ones your vehicle was built with. This guarantees a perfect fit, optimal performance, and long-lasting reliability. 14. Keep a Maintenance Log Keeping track of your service history helps ensure nothing gets missed — and increases resale value if you ever decide to sell or trade. We recommend documenting: Oil changes Brake services Tire rotations Filter replacements Battery installations Ask our team about digital service records for quick and convenient access anytime. 15. Schedule Multi-Point Inspections Want a full overview of your vehicle’s condition? Ask for a complimentary multi-point inspection with your next service visit. We’ll inspect: Suspension and steering Tire tread and pressure Brake system Battery strength Fluid levels and leaks Belts and hoses It’s one of the easiest ways to stay proactive with your maintenance. Seasonal Maintenance in Winchester, TN Winchester’s weather shifts call for season-specific vehicle care. Here’s what to focus on throughout the year: Spring: Clean undercarriage to remove winter grime Test wipers and inspect tires Summer: Test A/C system Top off coolant and washer fluid Fall: Inspect brakes before slick roads return Test battery before cold temps hit Winter: Check antifreeze protection level Switch to winter windshield wiper fluid Inspect tire tread and pressure FAQs Q: How often should I rotate my tires? A: Every 5,000 to 8,000 miles — usually at every oil change. Q: What’s the best way to increase fuel economy long-term? A: Keep your tires inflated, change your air filter, and avoid aggressive driving. Q: Can I schedule service online at Russell Barnett Ford of Winchester? A: Yes! Your vehicle is more than just transportation—it’s a major investment and a key part of your everyday routine. Whether you're driving to work, heading out for a weekend road trip, or simply running errands, your car deserves proper care to perform at its best. Regular maintenance at your dealership’s service department helps keep everything running smoothly, and how you approach your vehicle service appointment can make a big difference. At Russell Barnett Ford of Winchester, we believe service should be easy, transparent, and beneficial for every driver. This guide will show you how to get the most value from each visit to your dealership’s service center—so you leave not just with a well-serviced car, but with peace of mind. 1. Know Your Car’s Service Schedule Every vehicle has a recommended maintenance schedule designed to keep it in top shape. You’ll find this guide in your owner’s manual, detailing when to replace fluids, inspect systems, and perform routine care like oil changes and tire rotations. Why This Matters: Prevents unexpected breakdowns. Maintains warranty coverage. Helps preserve resale value. Pro Tip: If you’re unsure what service is due next, give us a call—our team can check your maintenance history and advise you on your next vehicle service appointment. 2. Schedule Your Appointment in Advance Although walk-ins are accepted at many service centers, booking your vehicle service appointment ahead ensures your time is used efficiently. It also allows the team to prepare for your visit, especially if parts or specialized work is required. Call 931-967-2277 or click here to schedule online >>> Benefits: Reduced wait times. Access to loaner vehicles or shuttles. Quicker turnaround on more complex services. Helpful Hint: You can use our online scheduling tool any time of day—perfect for planning on your own schedule. 3. Document Any Issues Beforehand If your vehicle is showing signs of trouble—strange noises, performance changes, or dashboard warnings—make a note of what you’ve noticed. A clear, detailed description helps technicians diagnose the problem more accurately and efficiently. What to Include: The type of sound or sensation. When and how often it occurs. Whether it’s linked to speed, weather, or specific actions. The more precise your notes, the better your service team can assist. 4. Bring the Right Info to Your Appointment Coming prepared ensures your visit goes smoothly. Make sure to bring: Past service records, especially for work done outside the dealership. Warranty documentation. Your license and insurance, if you’ll be using a shuttle or loaner car. Any notes or questions you have for the technician. Tip: If you're leasing, double-check your contract for required maintenance milestones. 5. Take Advantage of a Complimentary Multi-Point Inspection Most dealership service departments offer a free multi-point inspection with your visit. This checkup provides a quick overview of your vehicle’s overall health and highlights any areas that might need attention soon. Typical Items Inspected: Tire wear and pressure. Brake pads and rotors. Fluid levels and quality. Battery strength, belts, and hoses. You'll receive a detailed report so you can plan your next steps. 6. Ask About Service Specials and Discounts Before your vehicle service appointment, check your dealership’s website or call to ask about available offers. Many service departments run monthly promotions or seasonal discounts that can help reduce your overall cost. Popular Deals Include: Discounted oil change packages. Free tire rotation with scheduled service. Battery checks or A/C inspections. Brake service bundles. Pro Tip: Sign up for service emails or texts to get alerts about future specials. 7. Ask Questions and Stay Informed It’s important to understand why certain repairs or maintenance items are recommended. Don’t hesitate to ask your service advisor to explain what’s going on. Questions You Might Ask: “Is this issue urgent, or can it wait?” “What’s causing this problem?” “Is this covered under my warranty or service plan?” “How can I prevent this from happening again?” An informed customer is an empowered customer—and we’re here to help you understand every aspect of your service. 8. Understand Your Warranty Coverage Knowing what’s included in your factory or extended warranty can help you avoid unnecessary costs. Some repairs may be fully or partially covered, depending on your mileage and coverage. Warranties May Include: Drivetrain or powertrain repairs. Electrical and infotainment system coverage. Roadside assistance or rental cars. Routine maintenance under prepaid plans. Need help? Our staff can walk you through what’s covered. 9. Use the Dealership’s Amenities or Transportation Services If you’re waiting at the dealership during your vehicle service appointment, be sure to take advantage of available amenities. If your appointment will take a while, ask about transportation options in advance. Common Offerings: Free Wi-Fi and comfortable waiting areas. Snacks, beverages, and entertainment. Shuttle rides to nearby destinations. Complimentary loaner cars for longer repairs. Planning ahead ensures availability, especially for shuttle or loaner requests. 10. Review Your Invoice and Service Report Thoroughly When your vehicle is ready, your advisor will go over the services performed. Don’t hesitate to ask about anything that seems unclear or unfamiliar. What to Review: Breakdown of parts and labor charges. Notes from the technician or inspection. Any applied discounts or warranties. Keeping this documentation helps with future appointments and ensures transparency. 11. Plan for Future Maintenance Milestones Your visit is the perfect opportunity to look ahead. Ask your advisor what services are on the horizon, based on your mileage and driving conditions. Good Questions: “What’s next in my maintenance schedule?” “Can I combine services next time?” “Is there anything I should monitor at home?” Proactive maintenance helps you avoid costly, time-sensitive repairs down the line. 12. Keep a Digital or Physical Maintenance Log Tracking your service history helps you stay organized—and can be a major benefit when it comes time to sell or trade in your vehicle. Why It’s Worth It: Proof of regular care supports resale value. Makes warranty claims easier. Detects patterns in recurring issues. We can provide digital records, or you can access them anytime through your online account. 13. Build a Relationship with a Service Advisor Seeing the same advisor at each vehicle service appointment helps them get to know both you and your vehicle. Over time, they’ll become more familiar with your car’s service history and your preferences. Why This Helps: More personalized service recommendations. Faster communication and trust. Better tracking of ongoing or intermittent issues. When possible, request the same advisor at check-in. 14. Stay Ahead of Small Issues It’s tempting to put off minor maintenance—but that can lead to bigger problems over time. Addressing small items early keeps your vehicle in top condition and helps avoid more expensive repairs. Easy-to-Miss Services: Brake fluid flushes. Air filter replacements. Belt and hose inspections. Coolant top-offs or system checks. Small steps now can prevent breakdowns later. 15. Share Your Feedback and Experience After your visit, we’d love to hear how we did. Your feedback helps us improve and ensures future customers receive the best care possible. Ways to Share: Submit a review on Google, Yelp, or social media. Complete the post-service survey. Speak directly with your advisor about your experience. We take every comment seriously—and we love to hear when we’ve earned your trust! Conclusion: Be Proactive, Prepared, and Informed Every visit to your dealership’s service center is an opportunity to take better care of your vehicle—and to make your overall ownership experience smoother. Memorial Day at Arlington National Cemetery

Memorial Day: A Time to Honor and Reflect

Each year, as the final Monday in May draws near, Americans pause to take part in one of our nation’s most sacred traditions: Memorial Day. More than just a long weekend or the gateway to summer, this sacred day is a heartfelt tribute to the brave men and women who laid down their lives in service to our country. A Quiet Beginning with a Powerful Purpose Memorial Day began not with celebration, but with reverence. In the years following the Civil War, a conflict that claimed more American lives than any other, communities across the country came together to honor their fallen. They laid flowers, offered prayers, and stood in silence at the graves of soldiers who had given everything. In 1868, this growing tradition was formalized when General John A. Logan declared May 30 as “Decoration Day,” a time for the nation to remember its Civil War dead. Over time, as the United States faced new conflicts and lost more of its sons and daughters to war, the day expanded to honor all military personnel who made the ultimate sacrifice. In 1971, Memorial Day was established as a federal holiday, observed on the last Monday of May. More Than a Day Off Though Memorial Day often brings the sounds of laughter, cookouts, and summer sunshine; at its heart, it’s a day of remembrance. It’s a time to honor the courage, sacrifice, and love of country that led so many to give their lives in defense of freedom. For many families, this is a deeply personal day, a time to visit gravesites, share stories, or simply sit in quiet remembrance. Across the country, flags are lowered to half-staff, flowers are placed with trembling hands, and prayers are whispered through tears. The Traditions That Carry the Meaning Forward Memorial Day is marked by timeless traditions that keep its meaning alive: Cemetery Visits: Families visit the final resting places of loved ones, decorating graves with flags, flowers, and personal tokens of remembrance. The National Moment of Remembrance: At 3 p.m. local time, Americans pause for one minute of silence to honor those who gave their lives. It’s a moment of unity, and an entire nation holding its breath in collective gratitude. Parades and Ceremonies: Many communities host Memorial Day parades, featuring veterans, military members, and patriotic tributes that celebrate and remember those who served. Flag Etiquette: From sunrise to noon, the American flag is flown at half-staff, symbolizing mourning. At noon, it's raised to full-staff, signifying the resilience of those left behind and our commitment to uphold the values the fallen fought for. Memorial Day in Today’s America While our world has changed over the decades, the importance of Memorial Day remains. Whether through a social media tribute, a quiet moment alone, or a child placing a handmade card at a headstone, the spirit of remembrance endures. Teachers tell stories of heroes in classrooms. Veterans share memories of those they served beside. And families pass down the legacy of loved ones who gave everything so that others might live in peace and freedom. Holding on to What Matters It’s easy to lose sight of Memorial Day’s purpose amidst the sales, the travel plans, and the start-of-summer buzz. But even amid the fun, there is space for gratitude and honoring those who never came home. Take a moment this Memorial Day to look at the flag differently, to pause and reflect on the cost of the freedoms we enjoy. Speak the names of the fallen. Thank a veteran or a military family. Attend a local remembrance event or simply offer a moment of silence. Because at its core, Memorial Day isn’t just a date on the calendar. It’s a sacred reminder that freedom is never free, and that behind every flag waving in the breeze is a life remembered, a story honored, and a sacrifice that will never be forgotten. THE 2025 FORD MAVERICK

This year, the Maverick lineup welcomes the performance-focused Lobo trim. It features a 250-horsepower turbocharged four-cylinder engine, all-wheel drive, and a seven-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters. The Lobo is equipped with a lowered suspension, upgraded brakes, and distinct styling elements, including 19-inch rally-inspired wheels. For 2025, the rest of the Maverick lineup undergoes a styling refresh, incorporating darkened headlamp covers, a redesigned front bumper and grille, and new wheel designs. The interior enhancements include new trim color options, such as the available Smoke Truffle theme on the Lariat trim, which boasts bronze-colored accents. A larger 13.2-inch infotainment display is introduced, replacing last year's 8.0-inch screen, and now supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The hybrid powertrain now offers all-wheel drive and can tow up to 4000 pounds with the Towing package. A 360-degree camera and a feature that assists with trailer hitching using the rear camera system are newly available. Ford has also expanded the standard driver-assistance tech, adding lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, and automatic high-beam headlamps. The Lariat and Tremor models feature a more advanced adaptive cruise control system that includes lane-centering and speed-limit sign recognition. Interior The Maverick comes exclusively as a crew cab, featuring four doors and a rear seat that offers sufficient but not ample space. Ford has cleverly included numerous storage compartments and bins throughout the interior, with sizable storage areas located under the rear seats. While the base models are not luxurious, they do come with standard amenities such as a tilting and telescoping steering wheel with audio controls, remote keyless entry, and adjustable lumbar support for the front seats. The XLT and Lariat trims provide additional features, either as standard or through optional packages, such as dual-zone automatic climate control, ambient interior lighting, and power-adjustable front seats. According to Ford, the Maverick's 4.5-foot bed is capable of accommodating up to 18 sheets of four-by-eight-foot three-quarter-inch plywood without the need to angle them. The bed also includes a 12-volt power outlet, with an optional 110-volt outlet available. Performance The Maverick's standard engine is a hybrid powertrain that combines a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine with an electric motor, delivering a total of 191 horsepower. This setup is paired with a continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT). For those seeking more power, there's an optional 250-hp 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine, equipped with an eight-speed automatic transmission. All-wheel drive comes standard with the turbocharged four-cylinder engine and is available as an option for the hybrid, which has front-wheel drive as its default configuration. The Maverick's suspension is designed to support its impressive payload capacity, resulting in a relatively firm ride, particularly noticeable on uneven surfaces. When driving the 2025 Maverick, you'll find that the hybrid model maintains its previous driving characteristics, while the Lobo offers a more spirited handling experience, cornering impressively for a truck. Towing Enhance your towing capabilities to haul up to 4,000 pounds with the optional 4K Tow Package. This package comes with additional features such as a Class III 2-inch receiver trailer hitch, 4-pin and 7-pin connectors, a trailer brake controller, an upgraded cooling fan, and, for models equipped with EcoBoost, a higher capacity radiator. The innovative Pro Trailer Hitch Assist system utilizes the rear camera and corner radar to assist in aligning your truck for hitching. The 13.2-inch center touchscreen displays guidelines to aid in this process. Pro Trailer Backup Assist simplifies reversing by allowing you to control the direction of the trailer with a knob. After entering a few measurements and calibrating the trailer, just turn the knob in your desired direction, and the system will manage the steering wheel for you.

Did You Know...?

Improving Your Fuel Economy

Whether you're looking to save money, reduce fuel consumption, or minimize your environmental impact, most drivers in Tullahoma & Winchester are interested in getting the most out of every gallon. We've all heard different tips for improving fuel economy, but do they really make a difference? How much can preventive maintenance and mindful driving actually save us? Fortunately, the U.S. government has data to answer these questions. Let’s explore some key findings and see which fuel-saving strategies are truly worth the effort. The Impact of Routine Maintenance We've all heard that regular tune-ups improve gas mileage, and it turns out that’s true! A proper tune-up can boost fuel efficiency by 4%. That translates to saving 14¢ per gallon when gas costs $3.50, or 16¢ per gallon when it's $4.00. Other repairs also contribute to savings at the pump. Take your oxygen sensor, for example—if it's faulty, your engine isn’t getting accurate fuel-to-air ratio data, which leads to inefficient fuel burning. Replacing a bad oxygen sensor can improve fuel efficiency by an impressive 40%. That’s a strong reason to stay on top of vehicle maintenance and have the experts at Russell Barnett Automotive Family inspect your car regularly. A malfunctioning oxygen sensor often triggers the check engine light, but so do many other issues that negatively impact fuel economy. If your light is on, bring your vehicle to Russell Barnett Automotive Family in Tullahoma & Winchester for a thorough inspection. Tires and Oil: Small Fixes, Big Savings Tire pressure plays a bigger role in fuel efficiency than many people realize. Keeping your tires properly inflated can increase gas mileage by 3%. Even minor drops in pressure can add up over time, so make it a habit to check your tires weekly. Using the correct motor oil for your vehicle is another simple way to improve efficiency. Choosing the right oil viscosity can save you 2% at the pump—yet another reason to follow manufacturer recommendations. Does Driving Style Really Matter? Unlike maintenance, adjusting your driving habits doesn’t require a trip to the service center—it’s something you can do right now at no cost. But is it worth the effort? The answer is a resounding yes. Aggressive driving, such as rapid acceleration, sudden braking, and quick lane changes, significantly reduces fuel efficiency. Driving smoothly can save you 5% on gas around town and an incredible 33% on the highway. That’s a big difference! Speeding is another common fuel waster. Many people assume driving just a few miles over the limit doesn’t make much of a difference, but that’s not true. Driving five mph over the speed limit can reduce fuel efficiency by 7%, and going 15 mph over can cost you up to 23% more per gallon. Slowing down not only saves money but also helps avoid expensive speeding tickets. Reduce Unnecessary Weight Another no-cost way to boost fuel economy is to lighten your load. Carrying around unnecessary items in your trunk or backseat turns your car into a gas-guzzling storage unit. Removing just 100 pounds of extra weight can improve fuel efficiency by 2%. So, the next time someone asks for a ride, you might jokingly tell them, “Sorry, but you're costing me an extra fifteen cents per gallon!” The Bottom Line: Drive Smart and Save By keeping up with routine maintenance, driving more efficiently, and reducing excess weight, you can stretch your fuel dollars further. Making small changes can add up to big savings over time. So, let's take better care of our cars, drive smarter, and enjoy the financial benefits—because every cent counts!
